Dance Showdown Champions 2018

Friday 29th June saw the Annual Dance showdown take place at Kensington Town Hall. This competition is an opportunity for the schools and community groups in the borough to showcase their passion for dance and movement in front of their families and friends, as well as the industry experts. The St Thomas More Dance Troop claimed first place in the senior category for the first time since the competition began. Eleven students from year 8-10 have been working tirelessly with the school's dance choreographer Tessa Elliot to produce a routine that would impress the judges. Their mash-up of Hip-Hop and Pop Street Dance was performed flawlessly, deserving of the top prize. As well as winning the opportunity to support a professional dance group on tour, two students won individual awards for their stand-out performances (Rom Panganiban and Kathleen Daingui).
